Veterans Canteen Service At Viera VA in Viera

You think this VA is bad. Sometimes ago the VA in Tampa in a single month killed 43 veterans during surgeries. FBI said they would investigate. That's how far it went. Also, I had a previous surgery scheduled at the time there which I canceled. I'm alive today because of it. I won't talk about how disrespectful the VA was to me.

My dad goes to the VA clinic in Viera FL and we wanted to write about the exceptional service he has received each time he has come. From the doctors to all the amazing services offered he has always been treated with respect. We are grateful for our wonderful VA!!

I was happy with the treatment for my gout but really irritated about their refusal to have my cataract surgery after the eye surgeon in viera fl found out that I'm homeless. Now I'm retired, homeless and half blind thanks to this doctor Teresa (some hard to pronounce Italian name) and her so called fear of infection and the refusal to house me the neeed 48 hours after the procedure. Thank you VA administration for the entertaining way I stumble in and out of the woods, tripping over things and watching out for snakes with one eye is specially thrilling. Superb judgement in your part!.

Exceptional care and staff. I have had nothing but AMAZING interactions with every facet of the Viera VA facility. For starters, my doctor is OUTSTANDING!! She truly cares about me, and she LISTENS!! The Physical Therapy staff is also outstanding! I have had to use PT four times, for four different reasons, and every time I was treated great. Same goes for the lab and x-ray techs/staff. If I had a complaint, it would be about the difficulty of scheduling timely appointments. But overall, the VA has accommodated me both on-site and off-site. They’re great!!

Would give Zero stars if I could. This place is a JOKE!!I've had issues ongoing for the past 12 years. Always looking to get passed on to someone else. Hire Vets!! Lake Nona is the way to go if possible. Hurry up and wait💀just another # among many

The staff and services are excellent here. I have been at other VA clinics that were no where near as friendly or professional as this facility. I highly recommend this VA clinic.

Been going there since May 2004. First rate, first class medical facility. One of the best. Not only V.A. but including civilian. You work with them. They work with you. V.A. Team Viera

Great place and a great staff of nurses and doctors

the staff is very professional always willing to help anyway they can. I can't say enough about them. only problem is that they are under staffed and facilities are too small to accommodate the Flow of veterans. I think they do their best. if people complain about the place I say go somewhere else.

Quality, Outstanding Professional care coupled with a Friendly helping staff...15 years there now.. Only one bad new Doctor experienced.Over that hiring mistake.. 5 Stars!!!!😊😊😊

Everyone here used to be kind and helpful. Now it seems like its mostly the nurses and techs who care whether you live or die.

The Drs. take exceptional care of the Vets that come here for treatment(they absolutely deserve it)They offer services for all avenues of illnesses. Kudos to them.

Love the VA except for their new VA Police. They made me remove my service dog from the building when he wasn't bothering anybody. He was sitting with me like he is supposed to. They caused me to have a panic attack through the whole situation. That bald officer, whatever his name was is undeserving of a badge.

I visited the VA clinic on 5 Nov and ordered compession stockings. I called the prosthetic office at least once a week to find out the status. Left messages each time and to date have not received a reply. It has been 7 weeks. Even patient advocacy has not returned my calls.

They took good care of a family member that was here and they were kind and welcoming. Their hours are a little annoying and it can be a little time consuming there. Nonetheless, they offer a lot of good services and do take care of their patients, and they are very conveniently located in the Viera area.

I would give it a zero but had to rate this place. Was told I can't use community care just bc I'm not happy with the va. Took 2 yrs to get outside provider. Doctors, nurses and techs are all rude and could care less if u live. They are notorious for passing u along or saying idk instead of getting an answer or follow up. Left a dozen messages for patient advocate, not one returned call. They send me out for a specialist yet won't cover the meds. They do alot of victim blaming and are not held accountable for their actions. Haven't had a primary care Dr in over 3 yrs. Still see a floater bc they failed to hire more Dr... Place Is a joke and it's sad that veterans health are their last priority.

I must say I am so pleased and humbled how well I was treated today at VA Clinic. My Doctor and Nurse were first class! I had to see my Dr. first. Then on too blood work and x-ray. The x-ray tech was awesome as well! Next stop for A bite to eat at the Cantine. Then off too pick up bp machine and finally stopped at the pharmacy. All this took around two hours. Thank you so much to everyone today! You all are rock stars!Gabriel

I’ve been going to the Viera VA since my heart attack and bypass surgery this past April (which was done at Holmes). My primary and her nurse in the Mercury Clinic are both wonderful as is my new Cardiologist over in Saturn. Sometimes getting appointments can be frustrating and I find it easier to just walk in and make one. The Records Department also took very good care of me. Once you get past the lack of communication via their terrible phone system, the care providers inside are really good.

Excellent facility, all services - X-ray, CT, Ultrasound, MRI, pharmacy, new patient registration, physical therapy and a small PX. Easy parking with golf cart ride if needed. I've always had good service here with nurses, doctors and all staff, never really had to wait long for my appointment. Communication can be problematic at times but that's not specific to this location, that's the VA as a whole.

THE ANSWERING SYSTEM IS THE WORSE.TRYING TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT OR GET INFORMATION IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE. I'M PUT ON HOLD FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME,AND THEY HANG UP. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR YEARS.WHY HASN'T SOMEONE DONE SOMETHING ABOUT THIS.IT IS VERY FRUSTRATING TO SAY THE LEAST.THIS SYSTEM THE STAFF HAS ALWAYS BEEN KIND TO ME. CALL IN TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT IS ALWAYS FRUSTRATING. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR YEARS. WHY HASN'T IT BEEN CORRECTED. MY NEXT STOP IS MY CONGRESSMAN. RICHARD TEAMAN 9828
